Review:

BillyLee Janey's not a card-playing fanatic, as the title of this CD might imply. He's a wild man playing a different sort of hand. On this rockin' Blues compilation, Janey applies his blurringly fast fingers to his 8-string guitar, with soulful results. The nine tracks of Crazy 8 are written by Janey, who also supplies the vocal talent. He's joined by Billy Davis on the tenor, alto and soprano saxophone and Skip Lowe on the drums. In songs that are alternately vocal tracks and instrumentals, Blues lovers will have their musical appetites satisfied.
