Anyone familiar with Nancy Duncan’s magical storytelling needs no sales pitch to explain why this CD is a treasure chest waiting to be opened. For newbies to her divine and unique art, here’s the deal. Duncan, who passed away in the summer of 2004, was one of the nation’s most revered professional storytellers, who just so happened to come from the Midwest, who just so happened to perform at Liars sometimes. In this CD, one of the five she’s produced, the subject is Coyotes. Coyotes? Yip-Yip! Duncan describes and transforms this four-legged topic into engrossing narrative storytelling that’s spirited and soulful.
